First Train to Orillia.

(By Telegraph from our own Reporter.)

Orillia, Nov. 14.

Mr. Cumberland [Managing Director], accompanied by Mr. Moberly, Chief Engineer; Mr. Dickinson, Resident Engineer; Mr. Ginty, Contractor, and numerous other gentlemen, arrived here at 1:30 p.m., with the first locomotive running from Toronto to the Muskoka District. They were met by the Corporation and inhabitant of the village, the band played several spirited airs, and appropriate speeches of welcome were made. Mr. Cumberland stated that the road would be opened as soon as navigation closed, and promised the inhabitants that they might expect the fulfillment of all the engagements into which the Muskoka Company had entered. The village is quite alive with enthusiasm.
