Hamilton, April 30—The work on the Hamilton and Lake Erie railway to the bay is being pushed rapidly forward, and will be completed at an early date.

On the opening of navigation and Sault Ste. Marie Canal, the steamers of this popular line will run with the same regularity as last season, leaving Collingwood every Tuesday & Friday, at 5 p.m., calling at all ports on Georgian Bay and Lake Superior. City News—Change of Time—Some changes have been made in the time of departure and arrival of trains on the Toronto, Grey, and Bruce Railway, and travellers will therefore do well to refer to the new time-table.
Walkerton, April 30—A young man named Hager, conductor of timber train No. 46, was badly crushed this morning while engaged in coupling cars. His recovery is doubtful.
Penetanguishene, April 30—At a meeting held yesterday in the Vent and French settlements to discuss railway matters, the meeting unanimously carried resolutions to support the by-law in favour of the North Simcoe Railway, between Barrie and Penetanguishene.
