Stratford, Sept. 7.—The Port Dover and Lake Huron Railway is fast approaching completion. The rails are laid from Port Dover to within a few miles of Woodstock. Track laying has also begun at Stratford. The iron is all delivered, the grading nearly all done, and it is expected the road will be open for business about November 1st.
Stratford, Sept. 7.—. ... D.D. Campbell, mayor; Thos. E. Hay, reeve; along with other prominent men of Listowel, visited our town to-day in the interest of the Stratford and Lake Huron Railway. They had an interview with the directors of the company and the Town Council. It is understood to be the intention of the Board to submit a by-law to the northern municipalities for a sectional bonus, and that the work will be resumed at once.
