The Port Dover Independent says:—The official inspection of the P.D.&L.H.R. by the Government Engineer, Mr. Molesworth, was made Tuesday last. We understand that the road-bed and station-houses were far beyond any that had come under Mr. Molesworth's inspection. We trust the Government will see that local enterprise is fully appreciated. The Port Dover and Lake Huron Railway is the first road built on local capital, and the efforts made by the management to keep it out the of the hands of money-chargers ought to be recognized fully by our Provincial Government.
