West end grade separation nearly completed.
The last step in the grade separation program in the northwest of the city, as it affects St. Clair Avenue, is now well advanced to completion. It is the construction of the subway under the Canadian National and Canadian Pacific Railways' tracks on St. Clair Avenue, just east of Keele Street. The easterly subway, at Caledonia Road, was opened some time ago, and street-car service now extends west along St. Clair Avenue to Weston Road. It is expected that, with the completion of the subway now being built, the T.T.C. will further extend its service to the west. A view of the subway is shown above, as it stands at the present time.
