Railway development.

Projected lines, surveys, construction, betterments, etc.

Bay of Quinte Ry.—Arbitrators have been appointed to assess the value of some properties at Tweed, Ont., required by the company for the extension of its line. At the meeting of the Railway Committee of the Privy Council, Sept. 22, J. James objected to the location of the line and a station on his mining lots in Elzevir tp. The application was adjourned for a week, to enable the applicant to notify the company of his intention to operate the mine, whereupon the company will construct a subway and remove the station, allowing Mr. James to operate an aerial tramway.
