Spill at Hawkestone
Shortly after noon on Monday the northbound freight in charge of Conductor Rowcliffe derailed four cars directly in front of the station at Hawkestone. Two of the cars mounted the platform and ran up against the wall of the ticket office. Considerable damage was done and the cars were cleared away about one o'clock, Wednesday morning.
