Lake Erie and Northern Ry.—It was announced in Brantford, Ont., Nov. 11, that the section from Brantford to Galt will be opened for traffic Jan. 1, 1915. The line has been leased to the C.P.R.
Plans for the station in Galt, filed with the Town Council, show a brick building with a 300 ft. platform, a short distance south of Main St.
A resolution has been passed by the Brantford Patriotic and War Relief Association inviting the City Council and the Board of Trade to co-operate with the L.E. and N.Ry. directors in applying to the Dominion Government to advance to the company the balance of the subsidy voted in aid of construction, in order that work on the Brantford-Port Dover section may be proceeded with. The amount is $192,000, and W. P. Kellett, General Manager, stated in a letter to the Association, Nov. 9, that it would be sufficient to finance construction for about five months. (
