Grand Trunk Ry., on Jan. 10 took out a permit for the reconstruction of its freight sheds at the Ferguson Ave. yard, Hamilton, Ont., which were practically destroyed by fire, Jan. 7. The work is estimated to cost $30,000. The property destroyed included the greater part of the freight sheds, the freight offices on Barton St., a number of empty and loaded box cars, together with a large quantity of package freight, the total loss being at approximately $100,000.
