Toronto and Guelph Railway.

It is with much pleasure we announce, that the appeal recently made to the public of Toronto, on behalf of this railway, has been eminently successful. The Charter requires that one hundred and fifty thousand pounds shall be subscribed, before the work can be fairly commenced; more than that sum is now on the Stock books. The Company will be organized immediately, and the ground will soon be broken. The work cannot fail to be profitable both to the neighbouring localities and to the individuals who have embarked their money in it.
