Toronto and Guelph Railroad.
In answer to a question from Mr. Smith, in the Council Meeting on Monday night [February 2], in reference to the rumour current in town, that the line of the Guelph Railroad was to be carried along the Lake shore, and have a terminus at Port Credit; the Mayor said that the company's surveyor had reported that any line along the shore would impracticable, and the subject of taking the road to Port Credit had never been [illegible] in the Board.
