Rail lines to join.

Otter Lake, Sept. 28.—(Special.)—Work has been commenced on the construction of a cut-off on the C.N.R. For some six miles the C.N.R. and G.T.R. parallel each other from east of Otter Lake station to James Bay Junction. The plan is to join the C.N.R. to the G.T.R. and use the steel of the latterShould be former; the G.T.R. connected to the C.N.R. at Falding (Bala Subdivision M141.95). for both lines for this distance. It will also relieve the C.N.R. of the necessity of the maintenance of an overhead trestle where the C.N.R. crosses over the C.P.R.The C.P.R. as well as the C.N.R. crossed the G.T.R. at Boyne River. It is expected to have the change effected in a few weeks.
