On level crossing problem.

Notices of motion were filed yesterday with the City Council by Ald. H. M. Davy, asking that the city instruct its officials to communicate with Sir Henry Thornton and the Dominion Government, asking that immediate action be taken to effect the agreement entered into between the city and the National Railways for acquiring the Toronto Suburban Railways so that proper transportation in Ward Seven may be realized; and that the city instruct the proper officials to expedite the preparation of plans and specifications and arrange for an early hearing with the Board of Railway Commissioners for Canada to define a definite policy for prompt settlement of the question of grade separation on Bloor street, west of Lansdowne avenue.
