Grade separation will be considered at Toronto hearing

Railway Board meets Wednesday to settle details of recent order

Hamilton applications

Meeting in the City Hall on Wednesday of this week, the Board of Railway Commissioners for Canada will consider, amongst other important questions affecting Toronto and this district, the matter of the Northwest Toronto grade separation. The hearing will be for the purpose of settling the details from an engineering standpoint, of the subways provided for under Order No. 35037, the time and method of carrying out the several works referred to therein, and the distribution of the cost.

Other matters are the question of protection of the crossing of the highway by the Canadian National Railways one-half mile east of Whitby Junction and application of the Canadian National Railways for approval of a plan showing a temporary renewal of the overhead bridges at Spadina Avenue.

Other cases to be considered.

The following cases, which affect particularly the City of Hamilton, will also be considered:

Application of the Toronto, Hamilton & Buffalo Railway Company for an order authorizing protection at the grade crossing known as Emerson Street, Township of Ancaster, by way of electric bell and wig-wag signal.

Application of the Toronto, Hamilton & Buffalo Railway Company for an order authorzing the protection at the grade crossing known as Broadway Avenue, Township of Ancaster, by way of an electric bell and wig-way signal.

Application of the Canadian National Railways for approval of plan showing proposed renewal of overhead bridge at Mileage 43.30, Mary Street, Hamilton, Ontario, Grimsby Subdivision of the C.N.R.

King Street protection.

Application of the City of Hamilton for an order directing the Toronto, Hamilton & Buffalo Railway Company to furnish proper protection at the intersection of King Street, Hamilton, with the easterly branch of the company's railway in Hamilton.

Application of the Toronto, Hamilton & Buffalo Railway Company for an order directing protection to be furnished at the crossing of the company's Belt Line of railway in the City of Hamilton by the highway known as Cannon Street East.
