$75,000 railway station planned at Gananoque

(Special Despatch to The Globe.)

Gananoque, Oct. 14.—Plans have been prepared for a new $75,000 C.N.R. station to replace the present obsolete structure on the harbor front. New freight sheds and new tracks will also be included in the building program.

It is expected that work will start early next spring. This year the town completed its paving program, with the exception of the street in the vicinity of the station, which work as held up pending the erection of the new station. The station is known as the Thousand Islands Railway station, the line being a subsidiary of the Canadian National System.

Railways: C.N.Rys., T.I.Ry.
