Several of the Sub-Contractors on the Great Western Railway have decamped with the labourers' wages. What steps, if any, have been taken to afford relief to the poor men who must be severe sufferers by this rascality we have not learnt; but certainly some means will be taken to mitigate the evil and prevent its recurrence.
