On Monday night [June 28], the City Council passed a By-Law by a vote of 16 to 3, to authorize the issue of Debentures to the Ontario, Simcoe and Huron Railroad Union Company, for £60,000; of which £25,000 is a gift; and £35,000 a loan. The order for the lease of the ground for a Depot, near the market, to the same company was also finally passed.
