The Middlesex Prototype, says, in reference to the Great Western Railroad; gangs of men stationed every few miles between London and Windsor, and the cleared track and grade and ditching stretching East and West are suggestive of the short time which will elapse, when the solitude of the forest re-echoes to the neigh of the iron steed as he wheels along in this rapid course. We have heard a great deal of the disturbance created by the men employed on the work in the neighborhood of Hamilton, but along this section nothing has occured to cause any terror or alarm to the inhabitants on the route. The men have so far conducted themselves both quietly and orderly.
