York County Council.

A long discussion took place on a resolution offered by Mr. Baker in favor of the transfer by the county to the local municipalities or all county rights over electric railways. The question was asked as to who would be sued—county or townships—for injury suffered through badly kept railways tracks. A petition to the Legislature favoring a transfer to the local municipalities was ultimately adopted as a compromise.
