Railway tickets.
While the railways have discontinued the issue of commutation tickets bearing more than one name and which have been abused by quite a large percentage of users, they have now adopted a new tariff. They now issue a ten-ride ticket at practically single fare rate, and these tickets will be good for the bearer, and any person or persons accompanying him, and will also be good for year from date of sale. The 55-ride tickets provide for passengers who are travelling daily, and are on a liberal basis; while the 46-ride ticket will meet the requirements of scholars travelling five days in the week to Central High Schools or city institutions. Both the G.T.R. and the C.P.R. have adopted uniform action.
