The residents of Richmond Hill one evening last week tendered a complimentary banquet to the members of the Metropolitan Street Railway Company and the York County Council to celebrate the establishment of a regular electric car service between Toronto and the village. The banquet was held in the Masonic Hall and was presided over by Mr. P. G. Savage, the reeve. An excellent supper was served and the proceedings were enlivened by the village band. Among the speakers were Hon. N. Clarke Wallace, W. F. Maclean, M.P., John Richardson, M.P.P., and the Warden and members of the Council.
