The possibility of the Metropolitan Railway being extended to Aurora this fall looks favorable. The president of the company has asked the Mayor of Aurora to lay the following propositions before the Council:—(1) Exemption from taxes for ten years, and assistance to get special legislation to extend the time to 20 years; (2) that right of way be given to run over other streets than Yonge street; (3) that the town give them the contract for street lighting.
