The Metropolitan brought over 200 here on Thanksgiving Day and carried nearly as many out of Town.
The night before Thanksgiving two cars came up from Toronto a 9.30 and both were filled.
The cars are running very regularly and leave sharp on time.
The waiting room in the Bentley Block will soon be ready.
Report says that a freight house will be erected on the vacant lot at the north side.
The electric railway ran a single fare excursion on Wednesday to Toronto, to enable people to see the volunteers leave for Africa.
A meeting of York County Commissioners and North Toronto Council was called for yesterday, to consider what action should be taken regarding the condition of the tracks and ditches along the Company's line, as citizens are making serious complaints. Up to the hour of going to press we could not learn the result of the conference. The question of connection with the C.P.R. track comes up before the Railway Committee of the Privy Council at Ottawa on Tuesday next.
