Town Council.

The inaugural meeting for 1902 took place at 11 o'clock last Monday morning at the Council Chamber. All the members elect were present as follows: Mayor—H. S. Cane; Councillors—T. J. Robertson, Colonel T. H. Lloyd, N. J. Roadhouse, R. A. Smith, J. E. Hughes, and G. E. Richardson. After subscribing to the necessary declarations, Mayor Cane addressed the Council.&nsbp; ..  Another matter which he would be placed to see settled is the agreement with the Metropolitan Railway Company, and the he expressed the hope that some feasible route might be selected to reach the north end than go thru Main Street.&nsbp; ..

The Clerk reported the receipt of a cheque for $500 from C. D. Warren to carry out the Metropolitan arrangement at last meeting of Council.
