From some cause not yet ascertained, fire broke out in the baggage car attached to the G.T.R. Montréal express, which left here at ten o'clock last night, when the train was three miles east of Port Hope station. Complete details have not yet been received, but the general baggage agent of the G.T.R. reports that all the passengers' baggage was destroyed, together will the mails and editions of the evening papers bound east. No person was injured.
