Work has at last commenced on the erection of the soliders' memorial for Collingwood. It is going to stand in the station grounds. R. W. Thom. agent for the C.N.R. stated that it would cost the railway about $1000 a year to keep up the plot, so the Council decided to meet the cost of water supply, the company to put in the pipes.
