St. Thomas, Sept. 22.—Within three weeks the contractors on divisions 1 and 2, Messrs. Stratford, Nicholson, and Chisholm, have contracted for over three million feet of bridge timber. During the past week the following contracts have been awarded: Michael Brennan, Hamilton, about 100,000 feet; Wm. Nisbit, Lynden, about 260,000 feet; Randall and Spencer, 100,000 feet; T. Cowan, Princeton, 200,000 feet; J. Wagner, Orwell, 50,000 feet; Wm. Harvey, Aylmer, 50,000 feet. The bridge over Kettle Creek at this town the contractors are confident will be finished in six or seven weeks.
