Council Room, Jan. 9th, 1871.

On motion of Mr. Parker, seconded by Mr. Bird, the following gentlemen were appointed [to] a committee to confer with the Town Council of Stratford as to the prospects of getting one of the Railway Companys [sic] interested in building and maintaining of a Railway from Port Dover through Woodstock to Stratford, with a view to its further extension to Lake Huron, viz: The Mayor, Messrs. Oliver, Peacock, Bird and the Mover. ..
