The Stratford Directors.—On Tuesday evening week, say the Herald, in the Town Hall, Stratford, a meeting of the stockholders of the Lake Huron and Port Dover railway was held. Mr. A. L. Argo in chair. S. S. Fuller, Esq., stated that the subscribed stock in Stratford amounted to $26,500, and that an offer had been made by responsible parties to supply the iron and take the bonds in payment. It being understood that two directors would be given to the Stratford stockholders at the general meeting of the company, to be held in Woodstock on the 17th instant, Mr. James Redford, and Mr. Fuller were appointed; and Messrs. W. Marshall, G. Horne, J.A. McCulloch, A. L. Argo, P. R. Jarvis, and W. Buckingham were requested to attend the meeting with the proxies of the stockholders from this neighborhood who through business or otherwise may be unable to attend.
