New dinette car added by CNR, Toronto—Montréal
A dinette car, a type of lunch counter on wheels never before used by a Canadian railway, made its appearance today on the morning train to Montréal. Designed by the CNR, the dinette will offer a wide variety of food a popular price range.
These dinette cars will be attached to the morning trains from Toronto, leaving at 8:55 a.m. and from Montréal at 9:15 a.m. The cars will remain open throughout the day for snacks, coffee and soda fountain service.
