Dies after auto hits CNR train
Listowel, Jan. 13 (CP).—Robert Thompson, 16, died tonight from injuries suffered when his auto ran into the side of a CNR train near here today.
Robert Whitefield, 15, jumped before the crash and suffered minor injuries.
The two boys were driving to high school when the crash occurred. Thompson suffered a broken skull, crushed chest, broken arm and other injuries.
Dr. W. C. Pratt, Perth County coroner, said no inquest will be held. Listowel is 25 miles north of Stratford.
