Frank Patterson and Thomas H. Davey, who were committed to jail on the charge of robbing Hawkestone railway station, came up for trial before Judge Ardagh on Wednesday of last week. Both pleaded guilty. After hearing character evidence, His Honor remanded the prisoners for sentence. On Monday they appeared again, when Davey was allowed to go on suspended sentence, and Patterson received six months in the Central on each of two charges, the terms to run concurrently.
