Thieves are again active at Bradford
Last night thieves entered the C.N.R. station and Spence's lumber office at Bradford and cracked two steel safes. From the railway station the robbers got only $10 in cash while at the lumber office no money was taken. In both instances the hinges were forced on the safe door.
This is the second time in the last few months that the C.N.R. safe has been tampered with. Earlier in the week thieves entered the garage of P. K. Craig in Bradford and took the sum of $60 in cash. It is thought to be a local job.
The fact that thieves are again busy in the county should be a warning to local merchants and business men to keep a closer tab on any money left on their premises at night. Robberies have been few in the last two months, but they are due to break out in this locality any time now.
