Across the bay
...
Last year a dispute arose between the town of Orillia and the G.T.R. over the ownership of a strip of land between Baye's crossing and the smelter, along the G.T.R. tracks. Some time ago, in a conference between Mr. Lynch and the council the matter was amicably settled, the town agreeing to give way to the Company. Last week a writ was served Mayor Frost who evidently were ignorant of the settlement. The town solicitor, Mr. M. B. Tudhope, has notified the G.T.R. of the facts.—News-Letter.
