London improvements.—Extensive works are being carried out in the vicinity of London, Ont., one of them being the erection of a high trestle near Cove bridge. This piece of track elevation extends from Egerton St. to Hyde Park Jet., and in some places the track is being raised 35 ft. W. C. Stevens, Toronto, is the engineer in charge of the work. Other extensive improvements are in contemplation in London including track elevation, the enlargement of the station, and the rearrangement of the yards. An agreement with the city has not yet been reached, but F. H. McGuigan, Fourth Vice-President, was in the city consulting with the City Engineer upon the matter early in Dec.
