Grand River Ry.—We are officially advised in reference to the proposed sale of the company's steam plant at Preston, Ont., that this power unit is now obsolete for the operations of the company's lines. This plant has not been used since 1911. The company has under consideration the question of the provision of a modern steam plant, but no definite decision has yet been reached in regard to it.
