Canadian National Railways construction, betterments, etc.


Port Arthur to Kakabeka, Ont., 21.1 miles. This section of double track was commenced in 1922 and continued during 1923. The work is completed, with the exception of 2 small sections where the line crosses the C.P.R. at Westford, and crossing of an industrial spur at Neebing Ave., Fort William. These sections yet to be laid amount of about 2,000 ft. of second track. Ballasting and fencing is also completed as far as track work will allow.
