Mimico coaling plant.—We are advised that the 4,000 ton coaling plant under construction at Mimico, Ont., is of reinforced concrete construction and will be mechanically operated. The coal storage space is composed of 4 separate circular bins, each of 100 tons capacity, with sand storage space between each of the 4 bins. Delivery of sand and coal into locomotives will be made at different point, and coal will be handled by the conveyor and bucket type of machinery, driven by electric motor. The sandhouse for 30 cars of sand, will have a drying equipment attached, and is located so as to enable dry sand to be disposed of conveniently by the railway's forces and the machinery is being supplied and installed by J.
