Friday, March 13, 1896 The Banner (Aurora)

The heavy snow of Saturday had the effect of blocking up the railway and delaying trains. A special freight got stuck in a snow about a mile south of Chesley's crossing south of this place, early in the evening, and remained there until near ten o'clock, the passenger train going north being delayed at King, and the one going south here. There were several passengers on board each train, who, as might expected, did not enjoy their detention very much. In consequence of the detention of the train at King the mail from the south was not distributed until Monday morning.
