Work commenced on the new Grand Trunk station on Monday, a large gang of men being employed in the work. As previously announced the passenger and freight station will be built together on the west side of the track, and the two combined will be about 40×100 feet. The platform will be extended to Wellington street. Having the station built on the west side of the track will be much more convenient as passengers will not have to cross the track.
