Friday, January 26, 1900 The Banner (Aurora)

In reply to the item published in the Banner last week with regard to the Grand Trunk station here and the removal of the shade trees from the grounds, District Manager Tiffin instructed Mr. Gaudrie, the station agent here, to call on us and state that the company intends building a new passenger station on the east side of the track as soon as spring opens and the shade trees were being removed because they were in the way of a new driveway the company intends making. The plans of the station are made and the structure will be a very handsome one. The offices will be in the central part of the building with waiting rooms at each side. This will be good news to our townspeople who have long felt that our town was disgraced by the present unslightly station.
