Grain elevator

Mr. Smith, mayor of Toronto Junction, and his grain buyer, Mr. Stiver, were in the village Tuesday making inquiries relative to land near the James Bay Railway, on which to erect a grain elevator. The James Bay management offered to give Mr. Smith land close to the tracks for the building, but as a little more land would be required a deputation from the village waited on Mr. Paulin, the owner, and received an option on the necessary addition. The price asked by Mr. Paulin was considered very reasonable, and was at once accepted by the Village Council. Mr. Smith has an elevator in another town which will be taken down and erected here. There is a good opening here for a grain market, and we wish the proprietor every success.
