V. D. Gambrill passes, funeral to be Thursday
Mr. Veryl Daniel Gambrill, a well-known resident of Richmond Hill for the past four years, passed away suddenly at Toronto General Hospital on Monday, July 30.
A CNR agent all his life, Mr. Gambrill had served his company in many parts of Ontario, among them Trout Creek, Collingwood, Sudbury Junction, and Geraldton. He belonged to the Order of Railroad Telegraphers.
He was a devoted member of the United Missionary Church, Gormley.
Mr. Gambrill was born in King City in 1904. His father, Mr. Frank Gambrill, sill resides there. He leaves to mourn his loss, his father, his wife and three children, Lois, Paul, and Carol, and four sisters, Mrs. E. Campbell of King City, Mrs. E. Wilkshire of Toronto, Mrs. J. Miller of Kinghorn, and Mrs. Ray Moore of Toronto.
The funeral takes place August 2 at 2 p.m. from L. E. O'Neill's Funeral Parlours, Stoufville. The Rev. Huston of Stouffville will officiate. Interment is to be in Stouffville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be the nephews of the deceased.
