The James Bay Railway.

J. Leonard Boyd, chief engineer of the southern division of the James Bay Railway, is authority for the statement that the road will enter Toronto in the very near future. Only three miles now remain to be railed, the northern end of the southern section being completed out to Donlands, the farm of W. F. Mcalean, up the Don Valley. Coming from the north, the road is completed with the exception of the ballasting to a point as already indicated, three miles north of Donlands. Ballasting is likewise well under way over much of the road, large gangs of men being at present employed at Pefferlaw, while the work will be continued as rapidly as possible toward the city. The frost and rains of the winter have caused some little movement of the sand thru the cuttings in the Don Valley, but not sufficiently to delay the work in any way.
