Three killed on crossing
Three of a family were killed New Year's day when their auto, crossing the G.T.R. track at Downsview, a mile south of Elia, was struck by the Express bound for North Bay. Mrs. Louisa Barnard, age 35, her daughter Vera, aged 12, and her son Gordon, ahed 6, all received fatal injuries. The father, Henry Barnard, who was driving the auto, was stunned, but recovered soon after being admitted to Grace Hospital. The family were on their way to spend the holidays at Mr. Temples, Mrs. Barnard's parental home, near Willowdale. The mother and her two children were laid to reset in Riverdale Cemetery yesterday.
