Council protests C.N.R. train curtailments on Blackwater to Midland line

At the November session of Ontario County Council in Whitby, a strong resolution was passed last week protesting to the Dominion Railway Board and the president and district managers of the Canadian National Railways against the proposed reduction on the Blackwater and Midland branch of the railways, on the ground that it would seriously affect a large area served b the branch.

It is rumoured that the morning train to Blackwater Junction will be cancelled, also the 6 o'clock passenger train. The evening train was discontinued on Monday this week.
