A gang of fifteen men are employed in erecting a new line of telegraph poles between Stouffville and Blackwater. Last year the line was overhauled from Scarboro to Stouffville. For some time the workmen are located at this point, living in their own "Pullman" cars located on the C.N.R. siding. We hear unofficially that when the line is completed to Lindsay it may be equipped with the new phone system for the transmission of orders between trainsmen. The telephone system is now in vogue on the main line systems.
