Orillia Packet—Mr. Parks, the C.P.R. agent, has been advised that interswitching will come into effect at Orillia on August first. The G.T.R. authorities have not yet been similarly advised. At present the switch is used for transferring freight from points on the C.P.R. to points on the G.T.R., and vice versa, but not for feight originating in or consigned to Orillia. In other words, at the present time the switch may be of use to Barrie shippers, but not to Orillia manufacturers. The delay in getting the interswitching into operation has been a great inconvenience and annoyance to Orillia factories, and it is to be hoped the G.T.R. will before long give up its policy of delay and accept the inevitable.
