The Canadian National Railways have awarded contracts to the Union Switch & Signal Company, Swissvale, Pa., for the necessary material to be used in connection with two half interlocking plants at Fort William, Ont., Canada, one of which will be installed at Victoria avenue and the other at Franklin street, where the Canadian National is crossed by the Electric Street Railway of the city of Fort William. The derails on the street railway will be operated by one-inch pipe enclosed in two-inch oil pipe. The signals are to be style "S" 1 10-volt 60 cycle a. c.
