Stoney Creek subway.—The Board of Railway Commissioners at Hamilton, Ont., Oct. 7, considered a complaint with reference to the subway under the G.T.R. tracks just west of Stoney Creek station, Ont. It was alleged that the subway is 17 ft. wide, and that the height from the surface of the road to the tracks is 10 ft. 3 in., and insufficient to meet traffic requirements, and that it is improperly dr11ined. In addition to the question of the apportionment of the cost of any improvement of the subway, there are some engineering matters to be settled and the Commissioners suggested that the parties should endeavor to get together, and promised the assistance of the Commission's Chief Engineer, G. A. Mountain.
